Becoming a Good Ancestor

Location: Hotel Winneshiek (Ballroom), 104 E Water St, Decorah, IA 52101

In her presentation on May 5, Nancy Barry said “remembrance is a journey we’ll never finish”. On this day, we celebrate remembrance, and look for the joy to be found there. We know that racism is in our shared environment, and Korbin Paul, in a TED talk called it our legacy burden. What legacy gifts have you received from those who birthed you, raised you, or influenced you as you were growing up?

Share-the-Plate – Our plate recipient for September/October is Winneshiek County Celebration of Life.  To donate to the plate recipient, you can Give Online. Or, if sending a check, please note “Share the Plate” in the memo line. Donations may be mailed to Decorah UU, PO Box 382, Decorah, IA 52101.
