Queering the Cure

We welcome Dr. Jimmy Hoke, assistant professor of religion, whose talk “Queering the Cure” is relevant to both our monthly theme of transformation and the coming observation of International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia.  Dr. Hoke will be looking at the biblical story of the transfiguration of Jesus as well as the account of healing that immediately follows in the synoptic gospels.  He will invite us to think about the problematic idea of curing the queer/queerness.

All are welcome to join us at Sunday Fellowship either in-person at the Lingonberry or remotely via Zoom. We have transitioned back to an every-Sunday service.
