From book bans, restrictions on what content can be taught and the use of state funds for private, religious schools, education in Iowa reflects the overt racism, sexism and homophobia we see in the culture wars in American society today. How can our UU principles guide us to challenge injustice in our educational system while still supporting the students and staff in our community schools.
