The holy month of Ramadan is a very special time for Muslims, but for Muslims who are in prison, it can be a very lonely month. Today in the United States there are many Muslims who have been imprisoned unjustly in a harsh government over-reaction to the tragedy of 9/11. Come to the Northeast Iowa Peace and Justice Center and learn about some of these people. As Jesus said in Matthew, “I was in prison and you visited me… as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.” It would be difficult for us to visit these prisoners, but we can write to them!
